Each flag uses the Tyler Davidson Fountain Sculpture as the main symbol as it is regarded as the city’s symbol and the centerpiece of the Central Business District.

Combinations of Blue signifies Water for the fountain and the Ohio river but also stands for good fortune.

Meaning:

The north star quilt pattern is used to recognize the underground railroad and using quilt patches as a secret code where each quilt pattern held a meaning for travelers headed north.
